India gets its first Windows Phone 7 phone from HTC

HTC and Bharti Airtel today announce the introduction of Windows Phone 7 in India with the launch of HTC HD 7, HTC Mozart and HTC Trophy phones.

A press release quotes Ajay Sharma, Country Head, HTC India, “Windows Phone 7 is an entirely fresh mobile experience, on which HTC is excited to be going big.  We see tremendous customer opportunities with the integration of Microsoft’s most popular services. The value Microsoft is bringing to mobile customers around the world sets a new benchmark for the industry and HTC is proud to be the first in bringing in the brand new Windows Phone 7 experience to India in partnership with Bharti Airtel.”

The HTC HD 7 has 4.3-inch display and comes with a kickstand, 5MP autofocus camera, HD video recording, a 1GHz processor, 16gb internal memory and has 576MB of RAM. HTC HD 7 is Priced around Rs. 29,999 and is available with all authorized HTC resellers across India.

HTC Mozart pricing is not known yet, but it is expected to be cheaper than the HD 7.
